March was an exceptionally active and meaningful month, as we carried out a wide range of activities as part of the SAFER project, visiting primary and secondary schools across Slovenia.
Through the stories of our ambassadors and interactive workshops, we worked to raise awareness among young people about the importance of road safety, responsible choices, and the real consequences of risky behavior behind the wheel.
The workshops included engaging and hands-on activities such as:
- trying on drunk goggles,
- testing reaction times,
- participating in a distraction simulation game,
- and experiencing the impact scale.
All these elements helped students experience how just one impaired decision can have life-changing consequences.
In March, we visited following schools:
- Gimnazija Slovenj Gradec (general secondary school)
- Srednja šola za strojništvo, mehatroniko in medije Celje (High school of mechanical engineering, mechatronics and media)
- Ekonomska gimnazija in srednja šola Radovljica (economic high school)
- Gimnazija Jurija Vege Idrija(general secondary school)
Feedback from students confirms the impact of our work:
“I appreciated the speaker’s honesty and storytelling, as well as the experiment with the glasses. I liked the overall execution – the lecture wasn’t boring, but rather sincere and engaging, and the workshop was interactive.”
SAFER is more than just a project – it’s a movement, and we are proud to see young people actively engaging, reflecting, and becoming part of the change toward safer roads.
