The event was implemented at the location of entertainment venue RAVAL in Chalkida, Greece between 22:00 – 03:00 on 26/27 July 2025. The organizer was our partner Road Safety Institute (I.O.A.S.) – Panos Mylonas. The total number of beneficiaries who were informed about the dangers of drinking and driving was approx. 250 people.
The objectives of this action were to raise awareness about the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol, especially among young drivers, and to promote responsible behavior through interactive tools and mutual education (communication of the SAFER Site & training programme).
The activity was implemented as scheduled at the entrance/exit of the entertainment venue located on a pedestrian street. The team set up apart from two tables with posters, a banner, printed materials, personal breathalyzers, and disposable mouthpieces. Especially for the dissemination of the SAFER PROJECT our colleagues used tablets and laminated A4s with QR codes. Several officials and representatives from public services and NGOs were present.
This dissemination initiative enabled effective outreach to all present stakeholders, including representatives from the municipality, educators, NGOs, and political representatives. As a result, discussions were initiated regarding potential future collaborations and actions that could incorporate the SAFER educational platform into local awareness and training activities.
