On 22 May 2025, Zavod Vozim organised the final conference in Celje with 46 participants, including policymakers, youth workers, ambassadors (accident survivors), students from the Celje School Centre, and members of the wider community. Participants were actively engaged in the programme – they took part in discussions, exchanged views on road safety, and jointly explored solutions for a safer traffic environment. They also had the opportunity to test experiential tools (drunk goggles, crash-weight simulators, etc.) that directly demonstrate the risks of driving under the influence, distraction, or inappropriate speed. A particularly strong impression was made by the testimony of a Zavod VOZIM ambassador, who shared his personal story to illustrate the consequences of a road accident and the importance of responsible driving.
The final conference highlighted the achievements of the SAFER project in Slovenia: thousands of young people involved in experiential workshops, dozens of trained youth workers, the inclusion of ambassadors’ personal stories in school and local programmes, and the preparation of an online training programme for all Slovenian driving schools. The project demonstrated that young people can be reached in a different and more impactful way – through art, experiential learning, and personal testimonies, which create a deeper effect than statistics alone.
