In the first half of May, we carried out the second training for youth workers, who will soon begin implementing workshops as part of the SAFER program. Once again, the training took place at our office and was designed to prepare facilitators for working with young people in primary and secondary schools.
Participants were introduced to the purpose and key content of the SAFER program, with a detailed overview of how the workshops are structured. A special focus was placed on experiential learning methods, which form the core of the activities. In the practical part of the training, youth workers tried out the main tools they will use with students:
- drunk goggles,
- reaction time measurement,
- distraction simulation game,
- impact scale demonstration.
The training was designed to equip youth workers with concrete tools, knowledge, and the confidence to lead workshops independently. We are pleased to see such a motivated and responsible group, ready to bring the message of the SAFER program to schools, helping raise awareness among young people about the dangers of impaired driving and the importance of safe mobility.
