SAFER at 2nd Model Gymnasium of Athens, Greece

Following an invitation from a professor at the 2nd Model Gymnasium of Athens, IOAS spent a full day at the school delivering six workshops—one for each class of the third level of Gymnasium—on the topic of drinking and driving. Each workshop lasted 45 minutes. During the sessions, we began by inviting students to participate in a simulation using the “drunk goggles.” We then concluded each workshop by presenting the SAFER project on the classroom’s interactive whiteboard, informing the students about the initiative. Finally, we invited each class to participate in answering a few questions from the training programme as a closing activity. After the workshops, the professor arranged for the Final Assessment questionnaire of the project to be distributed through the school’s network and invited all students to complete it online.
