On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, Karel Destovnik-Kajuh Primary School in Šoštanj hosted a technical day focused on traffic safety, where we presented the SAFER project. The event aimed to raise awareness among students and encourage ideas for safer roads in the local community.
Using the DRAJV app (by Zavarovalnica Triglav), students explored local traffic challenges and proposed concrete solutions. They also listened to a powerful personal story from our ambassador Žiga, who inspired them to reflect on responsible behavior in traffic.
The hands-on part of the day included activities such as: e-scooter simulator, crash weight experience, distraction game, reaction time tests, creative drawing on traffic safety.
The event was further enriched by firefighters from Velenje and emergency medical staff, who demonstrated the importance of first aid and quick response in accidents.
Students concluded the day by presenting their own proposals for improving road safety in Šoštanj. Their voices can help shape a safer future for everyone. Together for safer roads!
